You won't need to exert excessive force to glide through multiple layers of fabric.

Things to note: with the ball bearings, you can't "over tighten" the screw like with other handles;
please tighten the screw as much as possible to prevent it coming loose with use.
Also, you should be pressing the guard button IN before sliding to prevent
thumb pain and increase the lifespan of the handle.
When it's time to change your blade, clean your cutter making sure to sweep or blow away any lint left
on the guard, take care to carefully get any between the guard and the back plastic of the handle.
Lint buildup can cause the screw to not be tightened as much as necessary, causing the blade to loosen.
At this time, you could add a drop or two of machine oil around the ball-bearings to keep things rolling smoothly!
When putting your blade back on, make sure that the piece that says "28mm" is on top, with the plain piece on the backside.
