Atlas Zipper Case - A Quilted Organizer for Everyday Essentials

The Atlas Zipper Case is the ultimate quilted organizer - stylish, secure, and incredibly functional. Designed to keep your essentials neat and accessible, this case features two large slip pockets, one spacious zipper pocket, and two smaller zippered compartments. It's perfect for sewing notions, electronics, makeup, travel supplies, or everyday organization.

Day 1: Prep Class (Evening)
Get everything cut, labeled, and ready to sew so you can hit the ground running in the main workshop.
Day 2: Saturday All-Day Workshop
Enjoy a full day of sewing with step-by-step instruction to assemble your case. Lunch is included - so just bring your machine, materials and creativity!
This class is best suited for confident beginners and beyond. Some basic sewing experience is recommended, but no bag-making experience necessary!

- Atlas Zipper Case Pattern by Center Street Quilts (available at Quilter's Lodge, each student must have their own copy)
- Fabric according to pattern requirements
- Vinyl (12 or 16 gauge recommended)
- Fusible foam stabilizer - double sided fusible foam (optional Pellon)
- Zippers - (1) 30" Zipper, (3) 10" Zipper
- Sewing Machine, foot pedal and power cord - (Please be familiar with your sewing machine, we can possibly offer suggestions but we do not know the details of how all the different brands of sewing machines operate)
- Coordinating Thread for top stitching
- 1/4” foot or 1/4” guide
- Walking Foot and guide bar
- Heavy duty/Jeans needles
- Measuring Gauge - The Quilter's Lodge Throwing Star
- Seam Ripper
- Needles for hand-binding
- 45mm Rotary Cutter or 60mm Rotary Cutter
- Scissors
- Fine Patchwork Sewing Pins
- Binding Clips
- Frixion Pen or Clover Chalk
Shared Cutting Mats, 6 1/2" x 24 1/2" Rulers with Handles, Irons, Ironing Boards and Design Walls are supplied by The Quilter's Lodge

Tristen Van Leeuwen has been sewing rainbow since she was a teenager in Home Ec. She loves lettering, Foundation and English paper piecing as well as piecing by machine. She began making bags two years ago and has mastered every technique. She is an awesome teacher and has the best eye for fabric combinations. Her attention to detail makes all her creations amazing. And she's so much fun! She knows all the best treats and is always willing to share.
Jill McAree began quilting almost 25 years ago but it took her years to get over her fear of curves and triangles. She loves FPP and EPP, applique and embroidery. Two years ago she started making bags and fell in love! She's not afraid to tackle any hard project and loves to learn new things. She has an amazing attitude and believes everyone she loves deserves something handmade.
