Take a Wild Ride Quilt Class

Scrappy Quilts are ALWAYS more fun with quilty friends!

Join our instructor for the Take a Wild Ride class.
In our class, we will be using Jen Kingwell's Wild Ride pattern/templates to create scrappy, unpredictably unique quilts.

These tempting triangles are tons of fun, especially as we will be swapping the smaller inner triangles with other participants! Smaller triangles are used in three and six-piece sets within the quilt. This will help us all use up our scraps and stashes. Someone wise once said: there is no such thing as ugly fabric, just fabric that needs to be cut into small pieces!

• Wild Ride Pattern and Templates - each student will need to have their own
• A variety of fabrics, each background will need 1 Fat 8th
• The inner triangles can be cut from scraps with pieces as small as a Fat 8th, pattern makes 48 blocks, you may want to make it larger.

• Sewing Machine, foot pedal and power cord - (Please be familiar with your sewing machine, we can possibly offer suggestions but we do not know the details of how all the different brands of sewing machines operate)
  
• 1/4” foot or 1/4” guide
• Coordinating Thread
• Microtex 80/12 Sewing Machine Needles
• Measuring Gauge - The Quilter's Lodge Throwing Star
• Seam Ripper
• 45mm Rotary Cutter or 60mm Rotary Cutter
• Scissors
• Fine Patchwork Sewing Pins
  

Cami Stringham has been quilting for 10+ years.  Cami has been with The Quilter's Lodge for over six years and is the Assistant Manager. She has designed countess quilt samples and teaches many classes.  Cami's classes include Comprehensive Beginning Quilting, Beginning Quilting 2.0, Foundation Paper Piecing, numerous Rope Bowl Workshops and many others. Cami is one of The Quilter’s Lodge Sample Makers, you can see her excellent work throughout the store. She loves scrappy projects that can use up every tiny bit of fabric.  Her fabric favorites include Alison Glass, Ruby Star Society, and Jen Kingwell, Tula Pink and quirky low volume prints.
