Quilt Block Sweatshirt
Pick your favorite block or learn a new one to stitch on a sweatshirt to create a uniquely personal gift for the holidays or a special treat just for you. Together we will choose a block to sew and learn how to make it wearable.
Class Supplies:
(The Quilter's Lodge offers a 10% discount on class supplies)
- A sweatshirt or similarly heavy garment - pre-washed
- Light-weight, double sided fusible
- Coordinating thread for top stitching
- Fabric to make a quilt block (ie fat quarters, one background and three to five coordinating fabrics)
- 8" block patterns provided during class
Sewing Supplies:
- Sewing Machine, foot pedal and power cord - (Please be familiar with your sewing machine, we can possibly offer suggestions but we do not know the details of how all the different brands of sewing machines operate).
- Microtex Sewing Machine Needles
- Seam Ripper
- Rotary Cutter
- Fabric marking pen
Shared Cutting Mats, 61/2" x 24 1/2" Rulers with Handles, Irons, Ironing Boards and Design Walls are supplied by The Quilter's Lodge.
Cami Stringham has been quilting for 10+ years. She loves scrappy projects that can use up every tiny bit of fabric. She has worked at the Quilter's Lodge for over five years and has taught many quilting classes. Fabric favorites include Ruby Star Society, Jen Kingwell and quirky low volume prints.
