Rope Bowl Workshop



Come learn to make a colorful rope bowl at this popular new class.  Easy to make and no perfection required!  This technique is so versatile, that a bowl is just the beginning!  Great for gifts too!

Our instructor will show you the basics of how you can turn simple cotton clothesline and fabric scraps  into a useful home decor item. 

Past students have called this "the most fun I've had in any class" and "this is the most relaxed I've ever been in a sewing class".


Class Supplies:
(The Quilter's Lodge offers a 10% discount on class supplies)

  • 100 ft of 3/16 or 5mm 100% cotton clothesline (Strongly recommended by instructor)
  • Fabric strips (precut into approximately 3/4" widths)  20+ strips from fat quarters would get you started. For fun, bring extras strips to swap.
  • Ribbon and textured yarn can also be added to this project for variety.  The Quilter's Lodge will be providing some Silk Sari Ribbon for everyone to choose a few pieces to add to their project.
  • Fabric glue

Sewing Supplies:

Shared Cutting Mats, 61/2" x 24 1/2" Rulers with Handles, Irons, Ironing Boards and Design Walls are supplied by The Quilter's Lodge.






Cami Stringham has been quilting for 10+ years.  She loves scrappy projects that can use up every tiny bit of fabric. She has worked at the Quilter's Lodge for over five years and has taught many quilting classes.  Fabric favorites include Ruby Star Society, Jen Kingwell and quirky low volume prints.
