Machine Binding
That last step to finishing your quilted piece
of perfection can be overwhelming.
Would you like to save hours completing your quilt binding
as well as saving your hard earned money
paying someone else to bind for you?
Learn how to machine bind your quilts with an almost invisible stitch in the ditch on the front of the quilt and a neat seam along the edge of the binding on the back of the quilt.
As quilters we love the process of choosing the right pattern and the perfect fabric. Then we enjoy each step as we cut, sew and assemble our latest work of art. We create that quilt sandwich and have our piece of art almost complete when the binding stares us in the face and we can't seem to finish that last step.

Gigi has been with the Quilter's Lodge for over ten years and
loves the quilting world and those she works with. Gigi
teaches the Machine Quilting, Longarm Certification Class at
The Quilter's Lodge. She began sewing when, as a small child,
she begged her mother to teach her to sew. Gig's first quilt
was begun on her ninth birthday when, for a gift, her
grandma came and helped her begin a Sunbonnet Sue quilt.
She has loved quilting since and enjoys learning and
sharing new ways, styles and techniques to use in quilting and
binding. Gigi also teaches our specialty binding classes including
faux piping, continuous bias binding, scalloped, prairie points,
chenille, self binding, envelope binding and more.
