Mary Cowan - is a well loved teacher at The Quilter's Lodge. She has been quilting for over 27 years. Her love for fabric, sewing and quilting has evolved over the years, into designing her own patterns. Her pattern company is called Mary's Cottage Quilts and is named after a family owned cottage in upstate New York. Mary has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree specializing in graphic design from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Mary says "It is a great feeling to create a design that other quilters can get excited about and want to make for their family. I feel that if I can get others excited to create, choose fabric, and put something together that can be a family heirloom to them, then I have succeeded in my goal".
